Life Update #3 ♥ Lauren Clifford

Hi Guys!

So, you may be wondering where I have been! I went missing off the scene for a couple of months and now I am back with a punch. To be completely honest, there is no one reason why I stopped blogging. I just didn't. I have had a lot going on at home and have been distracted with other things so I am going to blame that!

A little update with what has happened then...

When we last spoke I mentioned there was a few home issues. Well some things never change! My brother has now moved out of the house and is living with my Nan. Its for the best really and he is enjoying life a lot more now. We still talk all the time and I do miss him more than I care to admit!

I have enrolled into college! (WOOH) I am starting my AAT level 1 course tomorrow! I am really looking forward to it & getting a better career! I love creating YouTube videos and blogging but lets be fair, at the moment I cannot do this full time. I need a job to fund my heavy make-up obsession. My work offered to send me to college and I took the opportunity. I am really looking forward too it & cannot wait to start. Level 1 is only 15 weeks. Just to get a basic understanding of accounting and then I will start level 2 next year. Things are looking up work wise!

I have decorated my room! Damon moved out & at the soonest opportunity I chucked Paige into his room and claimed my trophy (that being my own room). I love it soooo much! It a MASSIVE SPLASH of pink! I have new furniture & a new dressing table (which I will doing a video for soon hopefully).

The spending ban when terribly and the shops called my name! Me & Danny haven't been saving either. We did try but we both had to spend all our money. Yep, we had too! (I wish that was true) FAILL!

Thats a about it at the moment!

Take Care Guys!

Lana Del Rey inspired look

Ok bad blogger alert! I know I said in my last post I was going to do a blog but then we started decorating (buying new furniture and kicking my sister out) my room and I didn't have time! Hopefully I will now be back in full form! Because of this, I have decided to do a look that I love. I love Lana Del Rey and her look so I thought, I was try and re-create her look and make it my own (kind of).

Starting with all the products I used
Maybelline Dream Smooth Primer
Rimmel London Perfect Match Foundation in 100 Ivory
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent
Collection lasting perfection Concealer in 1 Fair
Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder
Soap & Glory Lid Stuff Pallet in What's Nude
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Stila in the light pallet
Benefit Magic Ink Jet Black Liquid Eyeliner
MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner in Snow White
L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black
MUA lipstick in shade 14 (Nude)

So Starting with my foundation. First I used my primer all over my face ready for my foundation. Just using my hands. I then used my Rimmel foundation all over my face using a Real Techniques expert face brush, then used the collection concealer for any blemishes and darkness under my eyes using a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease brush and then set it all with my Rimmel powder using a un-named Kabuki Brush.

Moving onto eyes. I started by priming my eyelids using the primer potion, just using my finger. Then as a base I used the colour Vanilla on the soap and glory pallet, using my finger, and pressed that all over the lid. I used my finger so I could get the most intense white/clear matte colour. Then using a Real Techniques base shadow brush. I took the colour vanilla and just put a small amount all over my eye, up to the brow bone.
Moving onto my Stila pallet. I used the colour Sandstorm with a Real Techniques detailer brush and just drew a line in my crease. I do this so I have a guide where to put the crease. I didn't take the line all the way into my eye socket. I took it about half way along. Using a Revlon fluffy brush I took the same colour and really blended in that line. Taking a little bit of the eye shadow at a time and if the colour was too intense, I would use another CLEAN fluffy brush to take away anything I didn't want. Keeping the main colour in my crease and then just a small amount in the far corner of the lid.  To make the colour a little softer I used the colour bliss over that. Just to make the edges a little more softer.
Then I used my liquid eyeliner to draw a small thin line along the lash line and taking it out and creating a thin but long flick. Then used the white eyeliner on the water line and using the same dark colour in the Stila pallet (Sandstorm) along the bottom lash line using a Real Techniques accent brush. Finish the look with LOADS of mascara. Then just used the concealer for any fall out and just to clear up any smudges and make my flick a lot more sharper.

I used the soap and glory pallet to fill in my eyebrows using a MAC 266 and the colour Mud Honey.

Finishing with some light contorting on my cheekbones and a little highlighter. For a highlighter I used S&G colour vanilla as I wanted something Matte and not shimmery. Lastly, lipstick to finish!

Sorry the picture isn't a little clearer. I don't know what is going on with my phone! It usually takes photos really well!

Anyways - hope you like it! I know it isn't 100% the same but I have done it so it would suit my face shape more.

Take Care Guys

Where have I been

I am still here! Unfortunately I have been very poorly the past couple of weeks suffering with colds, flues, infections and a burst ear drum! To be completely honest, I just haven't been in the mood to blog. Just trying to make a speedy recovery but as soon as I get better, something else pops up! Booo!

I am currently off with an ear infection and suspected burst ear drum at the moment! My ear is so swollen that they cannot see my ear drum! It was causing me quite a lot of pain, still is now but more bearable!

I have lots of new things to blog about so hopefully I will get them done soon!

And I'm sorry for neglecting my few followers! (LOL)

What's in my Travel Makeup Bag?

Two blogs in one day I hear you say? Yes! I am not feeling very well today, and needed to do something constructive.

Me and Danny went away at the weekend and I thought this would be a prime opportunity to do a 'What's in my Travel Makeup Bag?' Blog.

My Makeup Bag

This is a clutch bag. I'm not a big fan of clutch bags on a night out because I am the type of person who will leave it somewhere & completely forget out it. I need a bag that is physically attached to me so I don't loose this. I bought this for my 21st and only used it once. Now it has become my trusted makeup bag. I bought this for around £17. I love the stud detailing and I'm a sucker for anything with a skull on it.

Makeup

I think I have a good selection of makeup. These are my main pieces that I can create any look from!

Stila in the light eye shadow pallet
Hello Flawless Oxygen Foundation in Ivory
NYC All day long foundation in Classic Beige
Clinque Moisture Surge Crème
Balme Lipbalm in Strawberry (I think)
Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
MAC Paint pot in lets skate
MUA Matte Perfect Loose Powder in translucent
Collection 2000 liquid eyeliner in Black
Rimmel Apocalips (I don't know the colour - Sorry)
L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black
Helen E Brown Eyeliner
Rimmel Black Eyeliner
No7 Brown Eyeliner
MAC Lips sticks in Crème Cup & Candy Yum Yum

Makeup Brushes

These are my trusted makeup brushes! Starting from left to right
Lydia Powder Brush
 Lydia Angled Brush
Real Techniques Contour Brush
Naked Crease Brush
Random Crease Brush (No idea where this appeared from)
Real Techniques Base Eye Shadow Brush
Real Techniques Detailer Brush
Radom Lash Brush
Random Eye brown Brush

So this is everything! Hope you like it!

My First YouTube Video!

So, I made this video about 2 weeks ago and have been struggling to put it on YouTube.
I am very poorly today and while I had the time, I thought I would try and work it out & finally after about 3 hours, I managed to get it working!

So here is my first video, Hope you enjoy! Please be kind!

(Sorry tried added a Video link & it wouldn't work!)

Enjoy!

June Glossybox Review

This months glossy box was a good one! This months glossy box is focusing on how to look good in the summer. Tacking care of you skin, hair, nails & lips!

1. Monu Professional Skincare (100ml) - Full size 100ml for £15.95
This is a soap free facial wash. It can be used as a alternative to soap. I love this face wash. It smells so refreshing and leaves my skin feeling really soft after use. I use this after I have had a shower as I have never liked using soap/shower gel on my face. This feels so light on your skin when you are using it but your face feels really clean & cleansed after. I don't know if I would purchase it again as £16 is a lot of money for a face wash! I'll see how I get on with it! Another plus, it's a full size version! YAH!

2. Figs & Rouge Lipbalm in Cherry Blossom (12.5ml) - Full size 12.5ml for £5.00
I LOVE THIS!  I am a big fan of lip balms! I have never really liked lip glosses but if I want to put something on my lip that feels light weight but feels like I have something on, I grab a lip balm. This has a slight tint to it as well and smells AMAZING! I would defiantly repurchase this! This is also a 100% natural lip balm. The only downside for me is, it's very hard to get the products out and it has a flat applicator. I think it would have been slightly better if it was horizontal but that wouldn't stop me from repurchasing it!

3. Helen e Eye pencil with Smudger in Brown - Full size £8
I really like this too. This was good timing as I needed a new brown eyeliner. It is so pigmented and very soft, however I don't care much for the smudger. It's very hard on my eyes and doesn't really smudge. Again, this wouldn't stop me from getting another one as the eyeliner itself is very good!

4. John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo & conditioner (50ml) - Full size 250ml for £5.89 each
I have seen this in Superdrug but I have never been attracted to shampoos and conditioners that claim they make you hair blonder/colour last longer. I have always been more interested in making my hair healthier or more shiny. I have used this twice and I don't think my hair looks any different but they are nice. They smell really good - I prefer the conditioner to the shampoo but I don't think I would get them again. I love my Aussie shampoo too much!

5. MeMeMe Long Lasting Nail Gloss in 66 Innocent (12ml) - Full size 12ml for £5
Being totally honest, I haven't used this yet really. The colour is near to white and not really something I would pick up. I have heard good things about this brand so I will be having a look to what else they have and will have to get a nail gloss in a different colour and let you know.

That's everything - Overall I loved this months glossy box! The highlights for me are the eyeliner & the lip balm!

I shall see you next month for Julys Glossy box!

Take care!

Luxary Makeup Haul

Ooops! I have been spending again! I decided that I would treat myself to a few new luxury items.

So I bought items from MAC, Stila & Benefit.

Starting with MAC

I got 2 lipsticks in Hue (Glaze) & Candy Yum Yum (Matte) and 1 paint pot in lets skate. Hue is a very plain colour. Just a slight colour on the lip but is a really nice 'everyday' shade. If you are new to MAC then maybe this colour is a good place to start. Candy Yum Yum on the other hand is the most pigmented and brightest neon pink EVER. If you love big & bold colours then get this! It has been sold out for a while, and I finally got it! A truly beautiful shade. MAC lipsticks retail at £14.00 each.
The paint pot is so beautiful. Its very pale pink with little bits of gold glitter. If you don't like glittery makeup then this wouldn't be suited for you. I think It is beautiful. The paint pots are £14.50 each. I thought I would try the MAC brush cleaner. I'm impressed with it at the moment - I think there affordable too, at £9.50

 Moving onto Benefit

I got the hello flawless oxygen wow! foundation & the most glamorous nudes ever eye shadow book. I love this foundation. It's light to medium coverage and just goes on so nicely. They have a nice selection of shades for all skin types. I really like it so far. This retails at £25.50. The eye shadow book is lovely. Every time I went into boots and went past the benefit counter this little book would always catch my eye and for so long I have wanted it, so I just went out and got it. The cream shadows are so smooth and soft with a good colour payoff and the eye shadows are a really good colour pigmentation. I think I may get the other 2 eye shadow books. These retail at £23.50.

Lastly Stila

This is the Stila, in the light eye shadow pallet. I have heard so many good reviews about this pallet that I couldn't help myself but get it. Well boy this did not disappoint. The colours are so pigmented and you get a nice selections of colour shades. This is nice too as you get some Matte & Shimmer eye shadows. With just this one pallet you can get a nice day look and then glam it up for a nice party look. I am literally in love with this pallet. The eye liner is really good too. It's really soft and again, very pigmented. This pallet retails at £25.00

Hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to comment with your views. If you blog too, leave your link & I'll check yours out too!

Tattoo #6

Yes, I did get another tattoo and I bloody love it! It has been done so
beautifully and I am overly impressed with how well it has been done!

I love it so much! I had 3 black & grey rose's. Took around 2.5 hours! The outline Killed! I hadn't had a tattoo done in a while so it's getting back into the swing of having a tattoo done. This is also one of my largest tattoos but I do love it! The shading was no where near as painful!

The 3 rose's are for me, my brother & sister. I did originally want Lilies as these are my favourite flower but couldn't see any that I like and decided to go for classic black & grey rose's.

I don't know if I would get anymore at the moment, but maybe in the future

Life update #2

What has been going on in my life? Not too much to be honest.

Same $hit different day. There has been a few home issues which I think I have almost completely pulled myself away from which is a complete win for me. For so long I had been dragged into silly petty rows that don't really concern me and have no meaning of me to be involved and, being caught on a bad day, I said enough is enough. I am no longer interest in this. I think I can say, that's the end of that! For now anyways.

I am currently trying to have a spending ban. I'm still going to treat myself to a few odd bits & bobs but trying to cut down. I'm trying to pay off my debts at the moment and have a financial plan in place to be debt free by December 2013. It is going to be hard but to make what money I have left, last longer, I am going to leave my bank card at home when I go to work, to stop me going to Tesco's and buying rubbish that I don't really need. Stick to making lunches at home and making do with what I have. Doing this, I am hoping I will see my money last longer. It all sounds great on paper but sticking with it is going to be the hard situation. I think paying off my debts will be easier than telling myself, do I really need that extra nail varnish? I am still going to have a monthly splurge on something cause I don't want to completely doll my life is not getting anything new. I just want to try and do it once, instead of every week.

Me and Danny really want to move into together so the plan is to also start saving. As I have several amounts of debts to pay off, I am going to save a smaller amount than Dan. But we want to save a couple of grand so we can put money down for a deposit for a flat and a little bit extra to buy homie bits. Then plan is that by 2014 we will start looking for somewhere. Fortunately we are in no rush, As much as we would like to rush it and move in straight away as we are more than ready, sometimes slow and steady wins the race. I DEFINATLY do not want to move into somewhere and tie myself down if I cannot financially afford it.

That's really all there is at the moment. Still going to the gym but the diet isn't going so smoothly. I have still lost weight but I probably could have done a lot better. I am still feeling positive and giving it a good go.

I have a few new luxury beauty items coming soon. So as soon as I have them I will do a first review on them. 2 out of the 3 items I bought, I have had my eye on for a while so I have very excited!

April & May Glossybox Review

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and subscribe to Glossybox. To people who do not know, It is a monthly subscription of £12.95pm and each month you get 5 luxary sample items. I love trying new things but sometimes if you go out and buy the product and its not something you like, you think, what a waste of money. With Glossybox you get 5 random samples (Sometimes full size) products of new up and coming beauty, skin & hair products. So every month I will do a blog post of everything I got and a first review.

April GlossyBox

1. Richard Ward Couture Hair Style Reviver(50ml)  - Full size 150ml usually £19.00
This is basically hairspray in fancy words. I like it but I wasn't Wowed by it. I usually use Tresemme Freeze Hold Hairspray (500ml £4.69) and I think it lasted a lot longer and for the price, I really do not think it is worth it. This is a thumbs down for me,
2. NIP & FAB Dry skin body butter in Mango Smoothie (50ml) - Full Size 200ml usually £9.95
I really like this product and its a very generous sample size I think. It smells amazing. I like body butters and I do like this. I am currently using palmers coco butter but, if I don't have that to hand I use this. This is a thumbs up for me!
3. Etre Belle Collagen & Aleo Vera Face mask (1pack) - Full size is 10 packets for 25.95 EUROS
I hated this products. I'm not a massive fan of face masks, the whole keeping your face still and relaxing. I don't find the relaxing. I would rather have a massage than this. It was very wet on my face which I didn't like either. I left it on for 15 minuets and it was still very wet and I thought it was meant to dry out a little but it didn't. Also, because it is European, the instructions were not in English so I had no idea! Big thumbs down!
4. Yves Rocher France Nutritive Vegetal 24H Crème(15ml) - Full size 50ml for £13.50
I suffer from very dry skin on my face. Especially on my cheeks and forehead and this is a beautiful product. It has really revived my skin. It makes my skin feel all brand new but I don't like the sent. I'm not sure if I would buy it in full size but I do like it. Thumb up!
5. Sunsence Daily Face SPF (10) - Full size 75g for £18.50
I really didn't like the product. I am very much a spring person, I don't mind the sun but I like it too be breezy so I wouldn't usually buy anything with SPF because I don't sit in the sun. I don't like sitting in direct sunlight, I am the person in the shade so I found the product useless. It was very oily and the bottle had like a twist and pull cap so you would only use it once. Big thumbs down

Overall, this was an OK glossybox. For my first ever one I was very disappointed. Considering when I looked online the other products they were giving away (Essie Nail Polish), well it made me very sad! On the other hand I loved the box. This was a special edition box by Pearl Lowe

May GlossyBox

1. Caudalie Divine Oil (15ml) - Full size £4.05 for 15ml
Well this made me happy because it is full size! You might think, only 15ml but because it is oil, how much do you really need. This smells good and I have been using it on my hair. You can also use it on your skin, nails & to a bath. I think I will carry on using this and might even get some more. Thumbs up!
2. L'Occitane En Provence Angelica Hydration Cream (15ml) - 50ml for £30
This smells great, it smells very fresh and makes your skin so soft! I don't I would purchase the full size as I find £30 a lot for cream but I do appreciate it. Again, Thumbs up!
3.Beautiful Movements Cosmetics Prime & Create Mixing Medium (2.5g) - 20g for £20
To be honest, I haven't used this yet so I don't know how good or bad it is. It seams ok when I tested it on my hand and it spread very well. So I will be fair and give it a thumbs up!
4. Jelly Pong Pong Fairly Lashes Mascara - Full size £15
I'm pretty sure this is another full size product. It is massive, if it wasn't it would be interesting to see how big it really is. Again, I have not used this yet. I like the brush on it, Long thing brush applicator. The only down side it is waterproof but, being fair, thumbs up!
5. Headline Colours in Spotlight - Full size £9
Another FULL SIZE ITEM! YAH! I think out of all the colours you could have got, I got the best one. Its a very pale pink colour. Didn't chip for a good couple of days so I like. I love nail varnishes so seeing this in my box, I was VERY HAPPY!
6. YES THERE IS A SIX ITEM. Glossybox own brand nail files.
They are so cute & mini I love it! Just what you need as en emergency file in your bag.

Mays glossybox was so much better. Glossybox celebrated there 2 year anniversary and I had a gut feeling it was going to be a good box, and boy, they did not disappoint!

Hope you enjoyed my blog and I'll see you next month for another Glossybox review.

Whats your star sign?

I have a friend, who’s mum is something special. Not only is she very beautiful but she is very spiritual. She picks up good and bad vibes and I can honestly say 9/10 times she is right. At the beginning of the week she picked up a good vibe, let me know and then by the end of the week, something great happened. This has happened between me and her for many years, I truly think she is a fantastic person.

Yesterday, we had another similar conversation in the most random place.

We were just mainly talking about life and then before we knew it, we were talking about how spiritual we are and star signs. She read my star sign out to me from different views. So as a friend, a mother, a working individual and just common traits. I can honestly say that everything she read to me, I thought she was describing my whole life and they way I react & feel about things.

I do believe that most people are like there star signs. Not 100% as their star sign, but the majority of it.

My question is, do you think you are like you star sign? Why don't you research it & find out?

Elf Haul & First review

Oopps I have been spending again! I recently purchased a few bits from e.l.f (eyes, lips, face). For those of you who do not know what elf is, it is an American brand with all really affordable makeup! I couldn't believe how cheap some of the items were. I think I got a good selection of makeup. I have listed below everything I got and I will do a short first review below with some swatches too. Please bare in mind that some of the items were on special offer so they might be slighter cheaper than usual.

1. Defining eye brush £1.50
2. Eye Shadow Bruch £1.50
3. Brush Shampoo £3.75
4. Dual Pencil Sharpener £1.50
5. Eyebrow Stencil Kit £1.50
6. Flawless Eyeshadow in Beautiful Browns £2.50
7. Flawless Eyeshadow in Smokey £2.50
8 & 9 .Baked Eyeshadows in Enchanted & Bark £3.75 each
10. Eyelid Primer in pearl £1.50
11. 2 in 1 Conditioning lipgloss in Love it £3.75
12. Lipstick in fearless £1.50
13. Long Wear Lipliner in natural blush £1.50
14. Lip Stain in pink petal £2.50
15. All over cover stick in light beige £1.50
16. Clarifying Pressed Powder in light beige £1.50
17. Blusher in Innocence £2.50
18. Zit Zapper £1.50
19 & 20 . 3 piece Nail Polish sets in Beach Party & Vacation Trio £4.00
20-28. Custom eyes in Ivory, Mocha, Pink Ice, Dusky, Truly Pink, Wisteria, Aubergine & Driftwood 45p each!
29 & 30. Two Custom pallets with mirror £3.00 each

Oooo boy! I was so excited when this got delivered. There are a few winners in here which I know I will be purchasing some more. So on with the first reviews.

Eyeshadows

These are the baked eye shadows and these are my fav thing out of everything that I purchased.
They have a nice colour pay off.
I recently wore these on a night out and got a lot of compliments. So this for me is a winner! I will be getting a lot more soon.

These are the custom palettes. I think for the price they are perfect! Again the colour pay off is good. Not as nice as the baked eye shadows but for 45p each - You can't complain. I like that you can create your own little mini palettes. Again a winner for me. I don't know how many other colours there is in the shadows but I know you can also get concealers and lip products in the pallets too.

This is the 4 quad pallets. I like these too. I like how the have engraved into the eye shadow what to use it for. I think these would be nice for people who are new to eye shadows. Overall, A nice little product.

These brushes for me are a let down. I have heard good reviews for these. For the price they might be ok but they have a lot of loose hairs straying away from the rest and that really frustrates me. I don't think I would try any more of the eyeshadow brushes but I am interested in getting some of their face brushes. Overall, I don't like these. I would rather pay a lot more for better quality & longer lasting brushes.

Face Products

Now we have the cover stick, pressed power and the primer in pearl. I'm not to sure on the pressed powder and cover stick. I prefer the cover stick but if you want something with a good coverage then I don't think the pressed powder will be the one for you. The primer on the other hand, it very nice on a first review. I have not used this on a long night out so I couldn't say if it would make my eyeshadow last longer, but it is a nice all over product over the lid.

Lip Products

Next onto lipstick, lip stain, lip liner & gloss.
The lipstick is the best out of the 4! It is so pigmented & have a lovely smooth feel but matte finish! I am going to get some more of the lipsticks and for only £1.50 they are such a BARGAIN!
The lip stain, well boy, these really do stain! When I first opened this box I done a little swatch on my hand around 12 and by the time I had gone home it was still on my hand! I'm not very keen on the pen applicator though. This is an average product for me.
The lip liner is another average product for me, nice colour pay off but very hard. I like my lip liner to be very soft so this is the only down fall for me. Lastly the gloss. I didn't realise how much gold shimmer was in this. For me is just a little too much but apart from that very nice. I would get some more but try and stick to clear ones.

Nail Varnishes

I love me some nail varnishes and these are a win! They are so cute, they would make a nice gift for someone. They darker colours only need one coat but the paler colour need several coats. But, I do really like these. Again, on my next E.L.F shop I will be getting some more.

And that's everything! This is only my opinion so you might have different views but this is my honest opinion. I hope you like it & if I do get any more products or love anything in particular then I will be sure to do a blog post!

Diet Update

So I have been dieting and exercising for under 1 month now! Would you like to know the results?

I have lost in total - 4 kilos! Which is 8.81849 pounds!

I am very happy with the results and looking forward to loosing some more.

All I am doing is exercising regularly and eating properly. I could of lost more weight if I hadn't of had chips and curry over the bank holiday weekend! You need to every now and again treat yourself and even though, in the last week that I weight myself I gained a kilo, I am very happy with my results! Would of been happier if I hadn't of gained that kilo but you win some you lose some.

I am seeing my dietician on the 28th May so I want  to be able to show her that I can loose weight since the past 2 times I have been I have GAINED weight!

I was thinking that maybe every month I will do a blog and update you of how I am doing!

Nail Varnishes

I thought I would do a blog/review about some of the nail varnishes I have. I have quite a few but I thought I would just review the ones I have.

Starting with my favourite nail varnishes - NYC. I think these are great and affordable! So the top ones are my matte ones, middle - shimmer and the bottom ones are glittery. I think I have some more lying around but these are the ones I could find. They are around £2-£3 in Superdrug. I literally am in love with them! They take no time to dry at all. The top coat is my fav top coat off all time! It dries so quickly! I would highly recommend them. I haven't come across a colour that has a rubbish pay off. The only need 2 coats and it will be the same colour as in the bottle. Go and get yourself some!

Next are new nail varnishes I have discovered. Recently a B&M opened by my work and they sell these for around £2-£3 each. They are a lot bigger than the NYC ones and again, you don't need to apply a lot of coats. The only problem I find is they take slightly longer to dry. Other than that, I really love them! The glittery ones pay off is brilliant but they take FOREVER to dry and I get impatient and end up taking it off. But the regular ones are fantastic! Pop to your local B&M store & get some!

These are Superdrug own brand, 2true. They are roughly between £1-£3 and for the price is great! This is where my obsession with nail varnishes began! Because they were so affordable I started buying these - They often do a deal - 3 items for £5 so I would usually get some. They are great! Some of them will need a few more coats than other colours but I love them! The bright pink in the top picture if ones of my fav pinks. They have a lovely flat brush as well, I find it so easier to apply with a flat brush! Again, pop down and get some!

So starting in the top left corner, Sally Hansen. I really dislike these. I got these from B&M in a double pack and I think they were £4-£5. The colour pay off is great but by the next day it had already started chipping! I was really disappointed! I thought they would last a long time because I have seen other reviews and it all sounded very good but I find they are rubbish! So for me, I wouldn't buy anymore. Top right corner are my Sinful Nail varnishes. I got these in a double back for around £6-£7. I love them! The lighted colour takes a couple of coats but the glittery one is FANTASTIC! I got these from my wholesaler so I don't know how much they would be online/in the shops but I would get some more! These are the only two colours I have so I need to get some more!
Next is the bottom left corner, Miss Sporty. These are also nice nail varnishes. They have a flat brush as well. I don't know what made me get the yellow one but when I used it, it looked very nice. They have a metal fluid line range as well, I have one of these and they look fantastic! Depending on what light you are in the change all different colours! I love nail varnishes like these! I feel like I am getting a better deal as they are multiple nail varnishes in one! Crazy I know!
And lastly, bottom right corner are my Beauty UK ones. I have just shown you mu two fav ones. Both glittery. I LOVE there glitter ones. Don't get me wrong, the normal ones are nice but I find the glittery ones look lovely. I usually like to have one nail that is glittery and I always go to pick up a beauty UK one as I find you don't need to put loads of coats on for it to cover your nail. Also affordable at around £3-£4 each.

So, here is my own personal opinion on some of my nail varnish collection! I have loads more but I didn't want to completely bore you!

So I hope you like it - Follow me for more beauty blogs!

Have a nice day & bank holiday weekend

Monday Blues..

I've titled this the Monday blues but, I am far from having the Monday blues.

I usually come into work on Monday and I have a massive feeling of pure depression! I hate Mondays but today, is an exception. Why you ask? I have no idea! I must of just woken on the right side of the bed. Maybe it has something to do with no directors being in a work and everyone is taken a more 'relaxed' approach to work, I don't know?

Why do we all hate Mondays? Start of the working week? The weekend is over and we have to wait another 5 days before we see the dear old weekend again? Just going to work and seeing the same old faces and having the same old problems?

Well today, Monday can kiss my a*$e! I am feeling positive and.. I like it! No more Monday blues - Every Monday I want to wake up like this! Ready to smash whatever tasks come hurdling my way!

So, I encourage you all to do the same! Break out of the Monday routine and BE HAPPY!!!

The exercise begins..

So, I am not as threatened by this blog title as I was with the previous one.

Now its early days but I have joined the gym! This is now day 3 and all is going well. I am really enjoying going to the gym. I'm not completely knackering myself out and not pushing myself to hard. To be completely honest I haven't really done any kind of exercise for about 3/4 years! Doing something now is better than nothing. I may work harder on some days than others but I want to leave knowing I have put the most effort in for that day and feel proud of myself.

I have always been a lazy sod so when I went to the gym for the first time, I was petrified! Surprising I am really enjoying it and at the moment I am planning on going 4 times a week for about 1hour - 1hour 30 minuets. Me and 2 other friends have all joined so we all motivate each other to go and get the best work out we can!

We shall see how I feel about the gym in a months time!

The diet begins..

I already feel sad with the title of this blog! It no secret but I am overweight. I have a few health issues and going to see a doctor regularly to change my life styles. I have now decided that right now is a good time to start the dreaded diet! I want to get back to the size I was and live a better, longer life!

The Problem..

I have PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) and I have had this for over 3 years now and it has been a big struggle in my life. PCOS is very different in each and everywoman, some women will have it and bare no problems at all where, unfortunately, I have had them all! I have been in hospital twice because if this. They can find no other problem apart from my weight, so I have been seeing a dietician and I now feel able to start the diet. Maybe I should explain a little more about PCOS.

This is the leading cause of female infertility and effects 1 in 3 woman. It effects your ovulation basically. You have very irregular periods or in my case have them for way too long. And when I say too long, I don't mean two/three weeks. I had my longest period for 9-10 months, no stop! I found out I have PCOS because when I was at work, a about 3 half years ago, I had a very bad bleed which
went through my clothes and I almost passed out because of loosing so much blood. I was rushed to A&E and this is where I have an emergency internal scan and they told me I had PCOS. To be honest, no much happened after that. My doctors dealt with it very badly and literally nothing happened. I was told to deal with it! I then had about 2 years after that another bad bleed and was admitted to hospital in agony! This time was a lot better, while I was in hospital I saw a lot of specialists and they have reassured me that it is only PCOS and I have no other underlying problems. I have to see a gynaecologist every 6-8 months for check ups & I am currently seeing a dietician. I have so much more support than last time and I am feeling a lot more positive about getting better.

So when you see a dietician its not all about your weight, they talk about why you eat as much as you do and look physiologically into it. They don't put you on a diet plan, they let you do what you think you can manage with. Now the beginning of the year, all diets went about the window & I said after my birthday then it will be time to knuckle down and get on with it. So this is what I am doing now!

Meal Plans

The plan is simple (if I can stick with it). Now my meals overall, when I cook my own, are very healthy. We have always been brought up with freshly cooked meals, just my problem is, I don't make my meals. I end up getting a take away because I cannot be bothered to cook. Well from now on I want to start cooking my meals. I have started eating breakfast, this is a big thing for me as for so long I never had breakfast! I HATED IT! Well now, every morning I have a yogurt. The next test is, STOP GOING TO TESCOS. I also have a problem where every lunch I would go to Tesco's and buy something, from now on I want too make my own lunches. At one point I was very good at making my own lunch but I have no gone down a slippery slope. I hoping after this I will also save some money! Lastly, STOP SNAKING! MY BIGGEST PROBLEM! After work I find myself nibbling on pure rubbish! This needs to stop!!!!

Exercise

Exercise is more important than anything with PCOS. For some reason with this condition the body works against yourloosing weight and I have let it get the better of me! At this moment in time, I do no exercise. A couple of my friends also want to loose weight/tone up so we have all decided to do something together. We are going to join the gym (once we get too payday) and go together. I am very lucky that I have such supportive friends.

Overall

Overall I am feeling very positive. I am not going to push myself to loose a certain amount of weight in a certain amount of time. I am just going to take everyday as it comes. I am going to keep a food diary and hopefully that will show me where I am going wrong! I hope this blog doesn't completely bore you! Leave a comment with any tips you have or advise for me! Maybe you are going through the same thing and want to share what you feel helped!

Hope you enjoyed this blog and maybe after a little while I will update you with how I am doing.

21st Birthday

So it starts with a party..

To start my birthday celebrations I had a party! It was a black & White theme! Overall I had a fantastic time. Everything went smoothly, there was no drama at all! It was perfect! The DJ was spot on, I had a photographer and he has taken over 2000 photos! We should get them in the next week or so, once I do I shall blog some photos! I had the most beautiful cake! It was a pink & White Tea Pot & Pink Cupcakes! I couldn't of asked for a better party! I want to thank my mum for everything! She put a lot of effort & Money into making it perfect for me. I want to thank everyone who made it too my party! It was a fantastic night and all my friends and family being their made is so much more special! I truly know who my friends are after my party!

Its my BIRTHDAY!!!!

On my birthday, I didn't get up to too much. I received some money from friends, family & work colleagues so after opening all my presents from my family, me and Danny went into town to spend my money! I only got one thing! Just a camera. I have never had a proper professional camera so I decided to treat myself! I still have over £100 so I think I will save that until I see something nice! Then me, mum, Derek, Paige, Damon, Nan & Charlie all went out for dinner. It was overall, a very interesting evening. I got so many surprises and gifts that I could not of imagined of! I am truly grateful for all my gifts! I thought that on my 21st (if I am honest) that I would get spoilt but I really did so well! And I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who got me a present! It was very generous of you!

That one special present...

I received one present from a friend today. It might not be your regular special present to other people but when I opened it, I knew it would be something I would cherish for a long time. It's a scrap book filled with photos of all our, and friends, memories! I have looked thought it about 20 times just tonight and it puts a smile on my face every time! She has left loads of blank pages so that throughout the years I can add more photos of our memories! I really love it! Today I realised how much I do love my friends. Only they could have put this together & make it so perfect! I want to let her know that I truly adore it and I will never get rid of it! It really means the world too me!

Its all over...

So now it is all over. I am going for dinner with my closest friends tomorrow and then my work colleagues on Thursday. After that, the birthday celebrations are over and I really do no want it too be! Again, for the millionth time, THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

New Hair Extensions

I have finally had my hair extensions put in and I could not be happier with them! I love them! They feel so natural and I just feel better with them in!

I had Microbead Extensions put in. This is wear a small bead will be put threw a few strands of hair, about half a centimetre away from the root, and the extension will be placed inside the bead and then it will be all clamped together. Now depending on the thickness of your hair will depend on how many strands you will need. I have medium to thick hair so I had around 260 strands of 0.5g of hair in each strand. You can get different grams of hair. Depending on the thickness you could get less strands but higher grams or the other way round. I got my hair extensions from eBay. 300 strands cost me £50. I then had to purchase the beads, the loop tool and the clamp, for all 3 items they come to around £15. They take around 3-6 hours to put in, the length of time will also depend on the thickness of hair as well. The thinner the hair is, the quicker it will be.

I would always recommend that you get to a colour chart/wheel and get your exact colour instead of guessing online. The pictures can look completely different to the end product sometimes so I had mine matched.

I have put some pictures below of some before and after photos.

Overall I can say I am very pleased and I would suggest this to someone if they were thinking of getting it done

Hope you enjoy & let me know how you feel about microbead hair extensions

Update..

I have not made a blog in a while so I thought I would give you an update on everything from my last blog. To be honest there is nothing special to report.

My party is rapidly approaching and I have everything sorted! I have my outfit completely done, DJ booked, photographer booked and food is done. Everything is completely sorted. I cannot wait! I hope that everything turns out OK with no drama and we all just have a good time.

I am getting extensions done for my birthday so once I have the put in I shall put a blog up and some before and after photos! I am having micro bead extensions done. A very good friend off mine is putting them in for me. They last around 3-4 months depending on how well you look after them! I am so excited!

It's now Easter and we have all gone to my nans and we are currently watching the tennis! We don't tend to go to my nans that often anymore - I work full time and find it hard to get the time to pop down! I do try though! I got 2 Easter eggs in total. Better than nothing and to be honest - I could do without eating the chocolate!

So there is a small update. Nothing interesting really?!

Hope you have all had a lovely long Easter weekend off! Take care and drink responsibly! NAUGHTY!

Winning the Lottery!

Me and Danny were having a conversation yesterday when I was on my way home from work about winning the lottery & what we would do with the money if we won. In this situation we had one the euro millions - A total of £72 Million pounds!

We discovered that Danny would probably end up broke after a couple of years - Going on luxury holidays, buying expensive homes and buying  countless amounts of things!

Now, If I was to win that kind of money, This is what I would like too do -
  • Open savings account for my Brother & Sister with around £200,000 each. I would not give them access to this money until they can appreciate what they have been given. I would not like to pass over that kind of money for them to waste it away. I would like them to purchase a home, decorate it, take their families on holiday, buy a car, put their children in good schools - Something like that. At their age, and how they are with money, I don't think they are ready for the responsibility of a large some of money.
  • Buy myself a property. When I say buy myself a property, I do not mean a big old mansion (even though I could afford it). I mean a reasonable sized one, around 4/5 bedrooms, with a games room (For Danny), a mini room as a wardrobe & makeup station, maybe an outdoor pool. I would purchase this in Bournemouth & this would be my main home. Maybe spend around £600,000-£800,000 on a property. Maybe slightly more. If I found the perfect property but I don't think I would like to spend more than £1 million pounds on a property. I would also get another property, a flat, in London
  • Buy my mums house. Not going into too much details, my mum kind of owns our house but it is very complicated. She only needs X amount of money and it would be hers. So I would pay the money she needs to buy her brother out, & then I would buy the house so it was mortgage free. And then let her live in it. She will pay the bills but not have to worry about a mortgage.
  • Open a business. Now some of my friends may find this a surprise but I WOULD NOT like to open a salon. For years I wanted to open a salon and give the ultimate salon experience. But the way the economy is, not many people would want that as it would be quite pricey! So, I have binned that idea as it would cost me more to run than making a profit. I would like to create a plus size clothing line. This is big business and the larger people will pay more money for clothes. This is a market that fashion designer's are missing out on. Their are a lot of websites that sell plus size clothes but I think, they think, we all dress like middle aged woman! I would create a fashion line that has all the new fashion and current fashions. Basically, the clothes the skinny models are wearing, I would make that available in larger sizes. Going up to around a 30-32.
  • Take my family on Holiday. This speaks for itself. My family have only been on holiday together twice in our life time. I would love for us all to go again. Somewhere nice, hot & beautiful. No idea where but somewhere.
  • Obviously, pay of my debts. I don't have a lot. Even winning £2000.00 I could pay off my debts and go on a decently little shopping trip!
  • Treat my closest friends. I would like to take them to a spa day of complete pampering. We work very hard and sometimes in life, we need a break! This is what I would do & then we would go shopping!

I think that is the main things I would do. There would probably be more, but these are the main things I would LOVE to do!

My questions is, what would you do if you won the lottery?

Hope you had a lovely day!

Love Lolly

Hair Routine

As I have mentioned I used to do hairdressing so I have had many a colour in my time, and as you all well know, this can leave you hair very damaged! I went through a faze where I kept dying my hair from red to blonde and eventually a lot of my hair broke off at the back of my head! My mum said it looked like I had a mullet!!! Well that was over a year ago now and my hair is back to its healthy, shiny condition!

I thought I would share with you what I used to get it back into shape!

So starting with Shampoo & Conditioner

1 & 2- £5 - Aussie Colour Mate Shampoo
This Shampoo has the most amazing smell! I wish there was something on the internet were I could put a small blob where you could smell it! I think all the Aussie products smell AMAZING! This one has a peach smell. You don't need a lot of the product as well as it seams to spread well over the hair! I just love this!
3.Aussie take the heat 3 minuet miracle - £4.50 - If I am being totally honest I haven't used this yet because I am waiting for my other conditioner to run out before I use it. But, again, it smell LUSH! Once I use it I will have to let you know. I am going for the more heat protect shampoos/conditioners as I recently got GHDs for Christmas and I do not want it to damage my hair!
4. Aussie 3 minuet miracle luscious long deep treatment - £4.50 - This leaves my hair so soft it is unreal! I don't leave this on for 3 minuets, I just use this as a normal conditioner. I have no patients to wait 3 minuets in the shower. And, I am going to say it again, I LOVE THE SMELL!
5 & 6 - Mark Hill - GIFT - get the party started shampoo and conditioner - I got these for Christmas and again I really like these. I prefer the shampoo to the conditioner as I have found that the conditioner is very runny! I got these as a gift but if I am honest, I wouldn't purchase the conditioner. I like a nice thick and creamy conditioner as I feel it is doing more to my hair. So unfortunately the conditioner is a NO NO but the Shampoo, I like.

Next onto protection I use for my hair. All these products you use on wet hair. (I do anyways - They can be used dry but I find they make my hair greasy)

1.Kerastase Oleo-Relax - £17/£20 - This is my hero! This stuff is amazing. While it cost's a fair bit, it lasts for ages! Its oil - you only need a small amount and it spreads all over your hair. I have been using this on my hair for over a year now and I can tell the difference if I haven't used it. It makes my hair so much stronger. It has a lot of nutrients in it so I think it is meant to make your hair grow more. Anyone who askes me they are looking for something to strengthen their hair - I always recommended this!
2. Aussie take the hear leave in spray - £4/5 - Does what is says on the bottle really. Sorry to bore you but again smells AMAZING!
3. Aussie Miracle Colour insurance leave in conditioner - £4/5 - I like to use a leave in conditioner and I feel it makes my hair a little easy to brush through also it is good for your hair!
4. Inecto Pure Coconut Glossing Spray - £3/4 - I love the smell of this spray. If you haven't guessed I am a sucker for hair products that smell nice. After all, you put a lot of effort into making your body smell nice so why not include your hair. I haven't been using this for long but I can see a slight difference. My hair is a lot more shiny than what it was. Also comes out very evenly. Good Product!

Well I hope you liked this blog - Just thought I would share my hair routine.

Enjoy - Loves Lolly

Make Up for Today

Me and Danny decided we would go out for dinner tonight so I thought while I am making myself look 'beautiful' (LOL) I would take some pictures of what I used to create this look. Its just a light smokey eye with a small flick eyeliner and pale lips. I will list all the items below with a rough price & description.

So Starting with the skin!

1. NYC Sun to Sun Bronzer Bonze - £3 - I used the lighter side. I have very pale skin and the darker side is just way to dark for my skin tone. This is a really great bronzer for £3 and I think it lasts pretty much all day. I just use this along my cheek bones. I'm not a massive fan of blusher so I use this instead.
2.Rimmel Stay Matte powder foundation in 001 Transparent - Around £4/5 - I just started using this powder and I love it. I think the coverage is very nice. I don't like to look very powdery but also I don't like the very wet & shiny look that some liquid foundations give, so this is a nice light coverage.
3. NYC all day long foundation in 737 classic ivory - £4- I love this foundation! It has such good coverage for a foundation that is only £4! I would highly recommend this to anyone. I have a lot of blemishes on my face and I think this foundation is just perfect!
4. MUA BB all in one - £4/5 - This is a great primer, concealer and foundation all together! I use this under my eyes and over my blemishes and it really takes all the redness and darkness away! As you can see I have nearly finished this one and I will defiantly be purchasing another one! I sometime will just use this if I am in a hurry to get out. I love this product!

Now onto the eye shadows I used.

This is a pallet that I got from eBay about 5/6 months ago from China. It's a great all round neutral pallet. I think I got it for around £8! The colour pay off is also very good and they do last for a long time!
Starting from top to bottom I used a light colour for all over my lids up to my brow bone, then I used a very matte, very light brown colour just on my lids. Finally, I used the dark brown just on the corner of my lids and my under my brow bone using windshield wiper motions.

Now moving onto Eyes, Eyebrows & Lips.

1. NYC Big & Bold Mascara in Black - £3/4 - I love this mascara. It does exactly what you want it too. Makes my lashes look very full & very long! I usually find myself buying all different kinds of mascaras but this is the first one where I have bought it multiple times!

2. Collection 2000 fast stroke liquid eyeliner in Black - £2/3 - I have been using the liquid eyeliner for as long as I have been doing makeup. I find this one of the best liquid eyeliners and I find it very easy to apply. I hadn't been using liquid eyeliners for a while as for Christmas I got a MAC gel liner and was in love with it but I have got back in the liquid eyeliner and I must say I love it!
3.MAC Fluidline in Blacktacks - £14 - I use this to darken my tightline so I can get that extra black look and it makes your eye look that little bit more bolder! I don't often use pencil eyeliners on my eyes as I feel that they don't stay on my eyes for long and I end up with most of it under my eyes looking like a panda. I prefer gel eyeliners or liquid eyeliners. I love this gel liner, I have had it since Christmas and it hasn't dried up. I had a Maybelline gel liner and after a month I found it wasn't as creamy as it once was! So this time MAC, you win!
4. MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Crème Cup - £14 - I love this lipstick! I wear it quite a lot. I had been looking for the perfect lipstick for a long time and I gave in and bought this one at MAC and I must say I totally love it! I use it on a daily basis! The smell of MAC lipstick is incredible!
5. No7 Amazing Eyes Pencil in 10 Brown - FREE! - Now, I do not use this as an eyeliner, I use this for my eyebrows. It has such a lovely texture & colour and for a freebee, why not! My mum had spent so much in No7 & she got a free gift and these eyeliner and always in them! I think I currently have 4 of them! They are the prefect travel size and its a lovely colour payoff! I don't really need to do a lot to my eyebrows. I mainly just fill in the end of my brows as there are a lot lighter than the rest.

So, this is everything I used with just a short description of each product. I hope you liked it and think of maybe doing this look yourself! Let me know if you like this kind of blog and maybe I'll do some more!

Loves Lollyyyy!!
