What's in my Travel Makeup Bag?

Two blogs in one day I hear you say? Yes! I am not feeling very well today, and needed to do something constructive.

Me and Danny went away at the weekend and I thought this would be a prime opportunity to do a 'What's in my Travel Makeup Bag?' Blog.

My Makeup Bag

This is a clutch bag. I'm not a big fan of clutch bags on a night out because I am the type of person who will leave it somewhere & completely forget out it. I need a bag that is physically attached to me so I don't loose this. I bought this for my 21st and only used it once. Now it has become my trusted makeup bag. I bought this for around £17. I love the stud detailing and I'm a sucker for anything with a skull on it.

Makeup

I think I have a good selection of makeup. These are my main pieces that I can create any look from!

Stila in the light eye shadow pallet
Hello Flawless Oxygen Foundation in Ivory
NYC All day long foundation in Classic Beige
Clinque Moisture Surge Crème
Balme Lipbalm in Strawberry (I think)
Hoola Bronzer by Benefit
MAC Paint pot in lets skate
MUA Matte Perfect Loose Powder in translucent
Collection 2000 liquid eyeliner in Black
Rimmel Apocalips (I don't know the colour - Sorry)
L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Black
Helen E Brown Eyeliner
Rimmel Black Eyeliner
No7 Brown Eyeliner
MAC Lips sticks in Crème Cup & Candy Yum Yum

Makeup Brushes

These are my trusted makeup brushes! Starting from left to right
Lydia Powder Brush
 Lydia Angled Brush
Real Techniques Contour Brush
Naked Crease Brush
Random Crease Brush (No idea where this appeared from)
Real Techniques Base Eye Shadow Brush
Real Techniques Detailer Brush
Radom Lash Brush
Random Eye brown Brush

So this is everything! Hope you like it!

My First YouTube Video!

So, I made this video about 2 weeks ago and have been struggling to put it on YouTube.
I am very poorly today and while I had the time, I thought I would try and work it out & finally after about 3 hours, I managed to get it working!

So here is my first video, Hope you enjoy! Please be kind!

(Sorry tried added a Video link & it wouldn't work!)

Enjoy!

June Glossybox Review

This months glossy box was a good one! This months glossy box is focusing on how to look good in the summer. Tacking care of you skin, hair, nails & lips!

1. Monu Professional Skincare (100ml) - Full size 100ml for £15.95
This is a soap free facial wash. It can be used as a alternative to soap. I love this face wash. It smells so refreshing and leaves my skin feeling really soft after use. I use this after I have had a shower as I have never liked using soap/shower gel on my face. This feels so light on your skin when you are using it but your face feels really clean & cleansed after. I don't know if I would purchase it again as £16 is a lot of money for a face wash! I'll see how I get on with it! Another plus, it's a full size version! YAH!

2. Figs & Rouge Lipbalm in Cherry Blossom (12.5ml) - Full size 12.5ml for £5.00
I LOVE THIS!  I am a big fan of lip balms! I have never really liked lip glosses but if I want to put something on my lip that feels light weight but feels like I have something on, I grab a lip balm. This has a slight tint to it as well and smells AMAZING! I would defiantly repurchase this! This is also a 100% natural lip balm. The only downside for me is, it's very hard to get the products out and it has a flat applicator. I think it would have been slightly better if it was horizontal but that wouldn't stop me from repurchasing it!

3. Helen e Eye pencil with Smudger in Brown - Full size £8
I really like this too. This was good timing as I needed a new brown eyeliner. It is so pigmented and very soft, however I don't care much for the smudger. It's very hard on my eyes and doesn't really smudge. Again, this wouldn't stop me from getting another one as the eyeliner itself is very good!

4. John Frieda Sheer Blonde Shampoo & conditioner (50ml) - Full size 250ml for £5.89 each
I have seen this in Superdrug but I have never been attracted to shampoos and conditioners that claim they make you hair blonder/colour last longer. I have always been more interested in making my hair healthier or more shiny. I have used this twice and I don't think my hair looks any different but they are nice. They smell really good - I prefer the conditioner to the shampoo but I don't think I would get them again. I love my Aussie shampoo too much!

5. MeMeMe Long Lasting Nail Gloss in 66 Innocent (12ml) - Full size 12ml for £5
Being totally honest, I haven't used this yet really. The colour is near to white and not really something I would pick up. I have heard good things about this brand so I will be having a look to what else they have and will have to get a nail gloss in a different colour and let you know.

That's everything - Overall I loved this months glossy box! The highlights for me are the eyeliner & the lip balm!

I shall see you next month for Julys Glossy box!

Take care!

Luxary Makeup Haul

Ooops! I have been spending again! I decided that I would treat myself to a few new luxury items.

So I bought items from MAC, Stila & Benefit.

Starting with MAC

I got 2 lipsticks in Hue (Glaze) & Candy Yum Yum (Matte) and 1 paint pot in lets skate. Hue is a very plain colour. Just a slight colour on the lip but is a really nice 'everyday' shade. If you are new to MAC then maybe this colour is a good place to start. Candy Yum Yum on the other hand is the most pigmented and brightest neon pink EVER. If you love big & bold colours then get this! It has been sold out for a while, and I finally got it! A truly beautiful shade. MAC lipsticks retail at £14.00 each.
The paint pot is so beautiful. Its very pale pink with little bits of gold glitter. If you don't like glittery makeup then this wouldn't be suited for you. I think It is beautiful. The paint pots are £14.50 each. I thought I would try the MAC brush cleaner. I'm impressed with it at the moment - I think there affordable too, at £9.50

 Moving onto Benefit

I got the hello flawless oxygen wow! foundation & the most glamorous nudes ever eye shadow book. I love this foundation. It's light to medium coverage and just goes on so nicely. They have a nice selection of shades for all skin types. I really like it so far. This retails at £25.50. The eye shadow book is lovely. Every time I went into boots and went past the benefit counter this little book would always catch my eye and for so long I have wanted it, so I just went out and got it. The cream shadows are so smooth and soft with a good colour payoff and the eye shadows are a really good colour pigmentation. I think I may get the other 2 eye shadow books. These retail at £23.50.

Lastly Stila

This is the Stila, in the light eye shadow pallet. I have heard so many good reviews about this pallet that I couldn't help myself but get it. Well boy this did not disappoint. The colours are so pigmented and you get a nice selections of colour shades. This is nice too as you get some Matte & Shimmer eye shadows. With just this one pallet you can get a nice day look and then glam it up for a nice party look. I am literally in love with this pallet. The eye liner is really good too. It's really soft and again, very pigmented. This pallet retails at £25.00

Hope you enjoy my blog, feel free to comment with your views. If you blog too, leave your link & I'll check yours out too!

Tattoo #6

Yes, I did get another tattoo and I bloody love it! It has been done so
beautifully and I am overly impressed with how well it has been done!

I love it so much! I had 3 black & grey rose's. Took around 2.5 hours! The outline Killed! I hadn't had a tattoo done in a while so it's getting back into the swing of having a tattoo done. This is also one of my largest tattoos but I do love it! The shading was no where near as painful!

The 3 rose's are for me, my brother & sister. I did originally want Lilies as these are my favourite flower but couldn't see any that I like and decided to go for classic black & grey rose's.

I don't know if I would get anymore at the moment, but maybe in the future

Life update #2

What has been going on in my life? Not too much to be honest.

Same $hit different day. There has been a few home issues which I think I have almost completely pulled myself away from which is a complete win for me. For so long I had been dragged into silly petty rows that don't really concern me and have no meaning of me to be involved and, being caught on a bad day, I said enough is enough. I am no longer interest in this. I think I can say, that's the end of that! For now anyways.

I am currently trying to have a spending ban. I'm still going to treat myself to a few odd bits & bobs but trying to cut down. I'm trying to pay off my debts at the moment and have a financial plan in place to be debt free by December 2013. It is going to be hard but to make what money I have left, last longer, I am going to leave my bank card at home when I go to work, to stop me going to Tesco's and buying rubbish that I don't really need. Stick to making lunches at home and making do with what I have. Doing this, I am hoping I will see my money last longer. It all sounds great on paper but sticking with it is going to be the hard situation. I think paying off my debts will be easier than telling myself, do I really need that extra nail varnish? I am still going to have a monthly splurge on something cause I don't want to completely doll my life is not getting anything new. I just want to try and do it once, instead of every week.

Me and Danny really want to move into together so the plan is to also start saving. As I have several amounts of debts to pay off, I am going to save a smaller amount than Dan. But we want to save a couple of grand so we can put money down for a deposit for a flat and a little bit extra to buy homie bits. Then plan is that by 2014 we will start looking for somewhere. Fortunately we are in no rush, As much as we would like to rush it and move in straight away as we are more than ready, sometimes slow and steady wins the race. I DEFINATLY do not want to move into somewhere and tie myself down if I cannot financially afford it.

That's really all there is at the moment. Still going to the gym but the diet isn't going so smoothly. I have still lost weight but I probably could have done a lot better. I am still feeling positive and giving it a good go.

I have a few new luxury beauty items coming soon. So as soon as I have them I will do a first review on them. 2 out of the 3 items I bought, I have had my eye on for a while so I have very excited!

April & May Glossybox Review

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and subscribe to Glossybox. To people who do not know, It is a monthly subscription of £12.95pm and each month you get 5 luxary sample items. I love trying new things but sometimes if you go out and buy the product and its not something you like, you think, what a waste of money. With Glossybox you get 5 random samples (Sometimes full size) products of new up and coming beauty, skin & hair products. So every month I will do a blog post of everything I got and a first review.

April GlossyBox

1. Richard Ward Couture Hair Style Reviver(50ml)  - Full size 150ml usually £19.00
This is basically hairspray in fancy words. I like it but I wasn't Wowed by it. I usually use Tresemme Freeze Hold Hairspray (500ml £4.69) and I think it lasted a lot longer and for the price, I really do not think it is worth it. This is a thumbs down for me,
2. NIP & FAB Dry skin body butter in Mango Smoothie (50ml) - Full Size 200ml usually £9.95
I really like this product and its a very generous sample size I think. It smells amazing. I like body butters and I do like this. I am currently using palmers coco butter but, if I don't have that to hand I use this. This is a thumbs up for me!
3. Etre Belle Collagen & Aleo Vera Face mask (1pack) - Full size is 10 packets for 25.95 EUROS
I hated this products. I'm not a massive fan of face masks, the whole keeping your face still and relaxing. I don't find the relaxing. I would rather have a massage than this. It was very wet on my face which I didn't like either. I left it on for 15 minuets and it was still very wet and I thought it was meant to dry out a little but it didn't. Also, because it is European, the instructions were not in English so I had no idea! Big thumbs down!
4. Yves Rocher France Nutritive Vegetal 24H Crème(15ml) - Full size 50ml for £13.50
I suffer from very dry skin on my face. Especially on my cheeks and forehead and this is a beautiful product. It has really revived my skin. It makes my skin feel all brand new but I don't like the sent. I'm not sure if I would buy it in full size but I do like it. Thumb up!
5. Sunsence Daily Face SPF (10) - Full size 75g for £18.50
I really didn't like the product. I am very much a spring person, I don't mind the sun but I like it too be breezy so I wouldn't usually buy anything with SPF because I don't sit in the sun. I don't like sitting in direct sunlight, I am the person in the shade so I found the product useless. It was very oily and the bottle had like a twist and pull cap so you would only use it once. Big thumbs down

Overall, this was an OK glossybox. For my first ever one I was very disappointed. Considering when I looked online the other products they were giving away (Essie Nail Polish), well it made me very sad! On the other hand I loved the box. This was a special edition box by Pearl Lowe

May GlossyBox

1. Caudalie Divine Oil (15ml) - Full size £4.05 for 15ml
Well this made me happy because it is full size! You might think, only 15ml but because it is oil, how much do you really need. This smells good and I have been using it on my hair. You can also use it on your skin, nails & to a bath. I think I will carry on using this and might even get some more. Thumbs up!
2. L'Occitane En Provence Angelica Hydration Cream (15ml) - 50ml for £30
This smells great, it smells very fresh and makes your skin so soft! I don't I would purchase the full size as I find £30 a lot for cream but I do appreciate it. Again, Thumbs up!
3.Beautiful Movements Cosmetics Prime & Create Mixing Medium (2.5g) - 20g for £20
To be honest, I haven't used this yet so I don't know how good or bad it is. It seams ok when I tested it on my hand and it spread very well. So I will be fair and give it a thumbs up!
4. Jelly Pong Pong Fairly Lashes Mascara - Full size £15
I'm pretty sure this is another full size product. It is massive, if it wasn't it would be interesting to see how big it really is. Again, I have not used this yet. I like the brush on it, Long thing brush applicator. The only down side it is waterproof but, being fair, thumbs up!
5. Headline Colours in Spotlight - Full size £9
Another FULL SIZE ITEM! YAH! I think out of all the colours you could have got, I got the best one. Its a very pale pink colour. Didn't chip for a good couple of days so I like. I love nail varnishes so seeing this in my box, I was VERY HAPPY!
6. YES THERE IS A SIX ITEM. Glossybox own brand nail files.
They are so cute & mini I love it! Just what you need as en emergency file in your bag.

Mays glossybox was so much better. Glossybox celebrated there 2 year anniversary and I had a gut feeling it was going to be a good box, and boy, they did not disappoint!

Hope you enjoyed my blog and I'll see you next month for another Glossybox review.
